ABOUT THE CHOIRS
St. Joseph's Traditional Choir is dedicated to the mission of encouraging active participation in the liturgy. Directed by Jin Krista Kang, the choir sings every Sunday at the 11:30 a.m. Mass. A mixture of volunteer parishioners and professional musicians, the choir’s repertoire ranges from traditional Latin chant and Renaissance polyphony to twentieth century masterpieces.
Directed by Eliza Poehlman, the contemporary choir at St. Joseph's provides the liturgical music for the 6:00 p.m. Mass every Sunday evening. Composed of both professional and amateur singers and musicians, including NYU students and graduates, they perform a large catalog of songs including Catholic favorites, contemporary pop, gospel, rock, and folk tunes as well as original compositions. Check them out on YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook.
